I crocheted the beanie hat with a double thread of red  Peruvian baby alpaca yarn and nylon-polyester faux fur yarn.

The circumference of the hat in the wider part is 23.5 inches and might extend 1 inch. Besides looking gorgeous, this hat is scrumptious soft to the touch, it will keep your head and ears warm.
